SCDA Instructor, and twenty one year old UConn senior, Elivan Goulart, recently successfully defended his 2001 National Championship at Mid Ohio, winning the 2002 National Championships in the highly competitive Formula 500 Class. Elivan, who is originally from Brazil, has been racing go - karts since he was a child, and this talented driver is one to watch in the future. Elivan has instructed with the SCDA for the past three years, and he is on the fast track to a professional road racing career.
